Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Academy Trainee – Electrical to join our hands-on training program. This full-time role is onsite 5 days a week and offers a three-week paid training period to develop essential electrical skills.

The position is a temp-to-hire pathway designed for motivated individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who want to grow in electrical assembly, wiring and controls within a manufacturing environment.

Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning electrical skills.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, automotive, maintenance, assembly, farming, military, or other hands-on environments preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Training will include:
Electrical, Safety Standards, Blueprint Reading, Electrical Basics, Wiring and Controls, Conduit Bending
