Job summary

Lancaster Archery Supply, Inc. seeks an Academy Events Coordinator/Coach to plan, coordinate, and execute engaging events that enhance the Academy's offerings. The role involves developing programs with the Academy Class Lead and representing the Academy at outreach events.

You will lead classes, promote events, and help create a fun, stress-free and engaging learning environment for participants, while ensuring safety and quality instruction. This is a dynamic position within a growing company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum USA Archery Level 3 Instructor certification, preferred.
  • Experience teaching adults and children.
  • Strong computer, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivating; able to work independently and in a team.
  • Successful background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new events and programs to attract customers to the Academy.
  • Schedule events with the Academy team.
  • Assist in coordinating parties, events, leagues, seminars and camps.
  • Research and coordinate events within the community for the Academy to attend.
  • Promote the Academy during company events and create related activities.
  • Lead and instruct Academy classes.
  • Maintain the Academy website event pages with updated imagery and content.
  • Provide complete instruction including body alignment, shot execution, muscle groups, and corrections.
  • Create a positive class and events atmosphere with encouragement.
  • Incorporate safety training into daily activities.
  • Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Adapt to group or individual needs and interests.
  • Communicate instructions clearly.
  • Assist in curriculum development with outlines, visuals and handouts.
  • Promote sales through additional classes and equipment to students.

The Academy Events Coordinator/Coach is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of engaging events that enhance the Academy's offerings. The individual will work closely with the Academy Class Lead to contribute to the development of an enriching curriculum to provide a fun, stress-free and engaging experience for participants. This role also involves creating new programs throughout the year and representing the Academy at outreach events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new events and programs aimed at attracting new and existing customers to the Academy.
  • Work with the Academy Assistant Manager and Academy Manager to schedule events.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating parties, events, leagues, seminars and summer camps.
  • Research and coordinate events within the community for the Academy to attend.
  • Assist in promotion of the Academy during company events, including creation of activities, marketing and interacting with clients.
  • Lead and instruct Academy classes.
  • Maintain the Academy website event pages, including updating imagery and content.
  • Provide complete instructions, including body alignment, shot execution, muscle groups, and corrections.
  • Provide a positive and enjoyable class and events atmosphere; give encouragement and create a comfortable and appealing environment.
  • Incorporate safety training and awareness into daily activities.
  • Evaluating participants’ performance and providing suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positive and motivating comments.
  • Adapting to the needs and interests of the group or individual participant.
  • Communicating instructions and commands using clear, simple language.
  • Assist the class lead in creating and developing curriculum with outlines, visual aids and handouts for classes.
  • Promote sales through additional classes and related archery equipment to existing students.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum USA Archery Level 3 Instructor certification, preferred.
  • A personality with enthusiasm and charisma with a positive and generous attitude.
  • Experience teaching adults and children
