Aspire Early Learning Academy is seeking an experienced Academy Director to lead our center and ensure daily operations meet high quality standards. The director will manage staff, champion licensing compliance with DSS, and foster strong family and community partnerships.

The role requires leadership, excellent communication, and a passion for early childhood education. Salary is commensurate with experience and education, with benefits and professional development included.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and organized Academy Director to lead our team of early childhood professionals. The Director will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, support staff development, and build strong relationships with families and the community. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for working with children, families, and educators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily center operations to ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment.
• Maintain compliance with DSS regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
• Recruit, train, and supervise teaching and support the team.
• Develop and implement educational programs aligned with early learning best practices.
• Monitor classroom quality and coach and support teachers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families through regular communication and engagement.
• Manage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative tasks efficiently.
• Promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports staff growth and retention.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Must meet South Carolina DSS requirements for a Director/Administrator.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a licensed child care center, including supervisory or leadership experience. A college degree in education or a related field may waive the 3-year experience requirement.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and curriculum implementation.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
