Job summary

Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) is seeking tutors to work on campus in the Learning Center or Instructional Support Lab, providing academic support to students in their major area. Tutors meet with students in person or online, guiding note-taking and study strategies and acting as academic coaches to foster resource independence.

Tutors use TracCloud for post-session notes, keep spaces clean, schedule appointments when needed, and perform duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be a currently-enrolled graduate or undergraduate student at AUM.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students in person or online on campus.
• Meet with students, model note-taking, study, and test-taking techniques.
• Act as an academic coach encouraging resource independence.
• Use TracCloud to enter post-session summary notes for professors.
• Sanitize in-person work stations and schedule appointments when needed.
