Broward College is seeking a part-time tutor to support students in the Academic Success Center (ASC) or assigned departments. You will provide tutoring in accounting, math, English, economics, and more, helping students become independent learners with effective study and test-taking strategies.
The role requires excellent time management, customer service, and strong verbal and written communication skills, with evenings and weekends possible. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
Tutors work in the Academic Success Center (ASC) or assigned department, both one‑on‑one and in small groups, to help students better understand course concepts, become independent learners, and succeed in and out of the classroom. In addition, the tutor will share learning, studying, and test‑taking strategies and perform some clerical duties to support the functions of the ASC. Tutoring subjects include accounting, basic computer concepts, economics, English, English for academic purposes, math, science, and modern foreign language. The ideal candidate must possess excellent time management, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills.
Variable work hours may include evenings and weekends up to 27.5 per week, and work schedules are arranged on a semester‑by‑semester basis and are dependent on the department's needs. Advanced levels and proficiency in the subject areas to be tutored strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments. Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours weekly.

Minimum Education: Bachelor degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience/Training: Tutoring experience in subject area strongly preferred.
