Job Description Summary
Tutors work in the Academic Success Center (ASC) or an assigned department, both one‑on‑one and in small groups, to help students better understand course concepts, become independent learners, and succeed in and out of the classroom.The tutor shares learning, studying, and test‑taking strategies and performs clerical duties to support the ASC.Tutoring subjects include accounting, basic computer concepts, economics, English, English for academic purposes, math, science, and modern foreign language.
Position type: Part‑time (P0087329). Hours vary by semester and may include evenings and weekends, up to 27.5 hours per week. Minimum availability is 10 hours weekly. Pay rate: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour.
