Banner Health's Banner University Medical Center Phoenix Trauma Division seeks a Trauma Surgery Faculty member to join a high-acuity Level I program affiliated with UA COM-P. The role emphasizes leadership in education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing scholarly activity.

The ideal candidate will have trauma fellowship training, surgical critical care credentials, and an active research portfolio, with a commitment to mentorship and program development.

Qualifications

• Trauma Surgery fellowship training.
• Board certification in Surgical Critical Care (BC or BE).
• Eligible for unrestricted Arizona medical licensure.
• Active publications within the past three years.
• Active professional society membership.
• Demonstrated clinical, scholarly, and teaching ability.
• Interest in research development and leadership.
• Collaborative professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Emergency, Trauma, and TSICU call coverage (backup call included within shift obligation).
• Elective surgery participation (required).
• ATLS instruction and teaching.
• Minimum 50% attendance at Trauma Executive Committee meetings.
• Mentorship of faculty, fellows, and residents.
• Active research publications and scholarly contributions supporting program verification.
