Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix seeks a Trauma Surgery Faculty member to join a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center affiliated with UA College of Medicine-Phoenix. The role focuses on trauma program development, fellowship education, mentorship, and scholarly growth within a multidisciplinary environment.

The candidate will participate in emergency and elective surgery, lead ATLS teaching, and contribute to research while engaging in leadership activities and program verification efforts.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery.
• Board certification or eligibility in Trauma/Critical Care.
• Eligible for unrestricted AZ medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Emergency, Trauma, and TSICU call coverage (backup call included).
• Elective surgery participation is required.
• ATLS instruction and teaching responsibilities.
• Minimum 50% attendance at Trauma Executive Committee meetings.
• Mentorship of faculty, fellows, and residents.
• Active research publications and scholarly contributions to program.
