Job summary

Banner Health's Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Trauma Surgery Faculty member to join a high-acuity Level I trauma center affiliated with UA COM-P. The role emphasizes program development, fellowship education, mentorship, and scholarly growth within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will contribute to clinical care of the TSICU and trauma services, participate in teaching, and pursue active research with strong faculty development support.

Qualifications

• Trauma Surgery fellowship training is required.
• BC or BE in Surgical Critical Care.
• Eligible for unrestricted Arizona medical licensure.
• Active publications within the past three years.
• Active professional society membership.
• Demonstrated clinical, scholarly, and teaching ability.
• Interest in research development and leadership.
• Collaborative professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Emergency, Trauma, and TSICU call coverage (backup call included within shift obligation)
• Elective surgery participation (required)
• ATLS instruction and teaching
• Minimum 50% attendance at Trauma Executive Committee meetings
• Mentorship of faculty, fellows, and residents
• Active research publications and scholarly contributions supporting program verification
