Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Testing Proctor to administer and monitor exams in the Testing Center. The role focuses on 504 accommodations, makeup testing, and ensuring exam integrity.

Responsibilities include scheduling exams, maintaining confidentiality under FERPA, and providing excellent service to students and faculty. The position supports a student-first nursing education mission at a national institution.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Knowledge of testing procedures and ability to monitor student dishonesty or unethical behavior.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks with attention to details.
• 504 testing requirements, processes, and procedures.
• Computer and iPad-based testing.
• Sit at a desk up to eight hours; lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Administers exams for students requiring 504 accommodations in the Testing Center.
• Administers other exams including makeup, TEAS, and ATI assessments.
• Maintains security of exams and materials and inventory processes.
• Follows procedures for distribution, collection, and return of testing materials.
• Monitors for student dishonesty or unethical behaviors during exams.
• Provides excellent customer service and effective communication to students, faculty, and staff.
• Prepares and schedules student exams based on course schedule and needs.
• Keeps confidential records and adheres to FERPA in testing services.
• Attends work regularly and adheres to schedule.
• Refers students needing support services to appropriate resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
