Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking aTesting Proctor in Austin, Texas to administer and proctor exams in the Testing Center. The role ensures secure testing, adherence to 504 accommodations, and timely exam scheduling for students in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring for academic integrity, assisting with makeup TEAS/ATI assessments, and maintaining accurate records while upholding FERPA compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of testing procedures and ability to monitor student dishonesty or unethical behavior.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks with attention to details.
• 504 testing requirements, processes, and procedures.
• Computer and iPad-based testing.

Responsibilities

• Administers exams for students requiring 504 accommodations in the Testing Center.
• Administers other exams including makeup exams, TEAS tests, ATI assessments.
• Maintains security of exams and materials and ensures proper storage.
• Adheres to procedures for distribution, collection, and return of testing materials.
• Monitors for student dishonesty or unethical behavior during exams.
• Provides customer service and effective communication to students, faculty, and staff.
• Prepares and schedules student exams based on course schedule and needs.
• Maintains confidential records and FERPA compliance.
• Attends workplace regularly and follows schedule.
• Refers students to appropriate support services.
• Other duties as assigned.
