Marist University’s Office of Accommodations and Accessibility invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Learning Specialist to provide individualized, comprehensive academic support to students enrolled in the Learning Support Program.

The role includes teaching time-management, study skills, and writing support; reviewing documentation; advising on course selection; coordinating with faculty to arrange accommodations; and guiding students to campus resources to promote academic, social and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Computer competence and excellent time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Teach time management, study skills, writing support, and test-taking strategies.
• Review student documentation and conduct intake to design appropriate accommodations.
• Provide academic advisement and referrals to advisors for major/minor requirements.
• Collaborate with faculty to provide accommodations and monitor progress; communicate with parents as needed.
• Refer students to campus resources including Writing Center, Academic Learning Center, Math Lab, Counseling Services.
