Job summary

Orbis Education in New York is seeking an Academic Success Coach to support students in an accelerated nursing program at Riverdale and Yonkers campuses. You will provide on-site success coaching, coordinate student services, and help students progress toward graduation.

The role requires proactive advising and active communication with students, faculty, and administrators. It is a hybrid position (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) with a full benefits package and tuition assistance.

• Stays engaged with students via one-on-one meetings, calls, video chats, and success seminars to promote success.
• Coordinates timely registration of selected courses.
• Acts as liaison for students in matters like appeals, readmission, grievances affecting progress.
• Documents communications and maintains required student population reports.

The Academic Success Coach plays an integral role in the support and success of students in an accelerated nursing program at our sites in Riverdale and Yonkers, NY. Major responsibilities include registration, academic advising/success coaching and the retention/persistence of enrolled nursing students. The Success Coach interacts with students, university faculty and advising teams, professional staff, and other program personnel to enhance and facilitate the progression, and graduation of students.If your area of expertise is counseling, coaching, guiding and cheerleading in a higher ed setting, please join us!

Academic Partner: University of Mount Saint Vincent, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Site location: travel between Riverdale and Yonkers campuses

Schedule: Hybrid position, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Training Start: 11/2/2026

Benefits: Full benefit portfolio including tuition package

Compensation: $60,000 - $66,000 annually

Primary Job Objectives:

• Facilitation and support of student progression
• Provide on-site success coaching and coordination of appropriate student services
• Manage student registration process for each semester (3 per year)

What You Will Do:

• Provides proactive and developmental coaching/advising for all active students
• Actively initiates and continues ongoing guidance to students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them academically at risk
• Communicates concerns about student progress to the student, faculty members, and administration in conjunction with coaching efforts and strategy
• Consistently stays engaged with students in order to promote success by using forums such as: one on one meetings, phone calls, face-to-face video chat, and success seminars
• Ensures timely coordination of registration of selected courses
• Acts as a liaison for student(s) in matters related to academic appeals, readmission requests, grievances, etc. affecting a student’s progress through the program
• Appropriately documents communication with students and maintains all required student population reports
