Job summary

Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute in Maryland is seeking an Academic Advisor to manage a caseload of students, guiding them through academic planning, course registration, major/minor selection, and post-graduation planning.

You will monitor progress, advise on policies, connect students with resources, and collaborate with Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Life to support success and retention. The role requires a masters and several years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required for the role.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Educational equivalency may substitute for experience per JHU policy.

Responsibilities

• Advise a caseload of students on academic planning and policies.
• Assist with course registration, major/minor selection, and post-graduation planning.
• Monitor progress and intervene to support successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with Registrar, Financial Aid, Life Design, Student Life, and Housing.
