Job summary

University of North Texas System is seeking an Academic Program Scheduling Assistant to help manage Media Arts and Technical Communication class offerings and support student enrollment processes. The role involves coordinating schedules, assisting students with enrollment, and maintaining catalog updates, working in the UNT School within the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and two years of office administration experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability handle multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Attend training sessions to enhance working knowledge of University processes, e.g., EIS, PeopleSoft, Curriculog, Courseleaf, FIS, and SPOT systems, and required university training sessions.
• Coordinate class offerings with School director and program faculty coordinators for Media Arts and Technical Communication each term.
• Serve as primary curriculum manager using Courseleaf to prepare and coordinate the schedule of classes each semester.
• Assist students with enrollment problems, including waitlists and overrides, per internal procedures.
• Provide student records, transcripts, and schedules when requested.
• Liaise with curriculum committees, Curriculog updates, FIS, SPOT surveys, and catalog reviews.
• Provide basic office support with standard 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. coverage.
