Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs. We welcome candidates with interests in reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.

Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified by the ABPS and eligible for New York State medical licensure; active

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in plastic surgery including breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand, and microsurgery.
• Contribute to teaching and research within the division, supporting residents and medical students.
