Job summary

The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine's Division of Plastic Surgery in North Miami, FL seeks a highly qualified plastic surgeon to join a growing, on-site team of surgeons across three health systems.

The ideal candidate will focus on post-oncologic reconstruction, including microvascular breast and lymphatic reconstruction, with responsibilities spanning clinical care, teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or PhD degree required.
• Board eligibility or certification in plastic surgery (ABPS).
• DEA Registration and Florida Medical License.
• 0-10 years post-training clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in plastic surgery, including breast reconstruction and microvascular procedures.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents and fellows.
• Engage in original research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Demonstrate academic leadership within the department.
• Engage with the local community to promote health initiatives.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across healthcare teams.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Handle administrative duties related to appointments and credentialing.
• Pursue leadership training and advancement opportunities.
• Participate in on-call schedules and coordinate inpatient care.
