Albany Medical Center seeks a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital. This full-time faculty position is eligible for Assistant or Associate Professor, contingent on credentials.

Requirements include fellowship-trained ID qualification, board status, and NY license eligibility. The role emphasizes inpatient and outpatient ID care, teaching, mentorship, and program development within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic medicine.
• Interest in research, program development, advocacy, or stewardship initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Deliver outpatient Infectious Disease and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, advocacy, and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children's Hospital.

Education

MD or DO or equivalent degree
