Job summary

Albany Medical Center seeks a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital. This full-time faculty position emphasizes inpatient consultations, outpatient ID and HIV/PrEP care, and academic activities within Albany Medical College.

Board-certified or eligible candidates who have completed an ID fellowship and are eligible for NY license will contribute to a dynamic, multidisciplinary team in a leading northeastern New York pediatric program with

Qualifications

• Board certification in Pediatric ID or eligibility
• Completed Pediatric ID fellowship
• Eligible for NY medical license
• Academic appointment at Assistant/Associate Professor level may be offered

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services
• Deliver outpatient ID and HIV/PrEP clinical care
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage
• Teach and supervise medical students and residents
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children's Hospital
