Job summary

Albany Medical Center, part of Albany Med Health System, seeks a board-certified or eligible Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital faculty. The role includes inpatient consults, outpatient ID/HIV care, and teaching within a rich academic environment.

The division collaborates with subspecialists, offers mentorship, and opportunities for research, advocacy, and program development in a leading North‑country pediatric hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Outpatient infectious disease and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Share night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and program development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children’s Hospital.
