Job summary

Albany Medical Center, part of Albany Med Health System, is seeking a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital in Albany, NY. This full-time faculty position offers an appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level, with a robust academic environment and opportunities for clinical leadership and research.

The division currently has multiple ID faculty, inpatient and outpatient services, and strong collaboration with subspecialists.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Completed Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Deliver outpatient ID and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, advocacy, and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children's Hospital.
