Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital faculty. The role offers an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor appointment and includes inpatient and outpatient ID services, teaching, and research mentorship.

The division collaborates widely with pediatric subspecialists and supports HIV/PrEP programs, antimicrobial stewardship, and education across learners.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.
• MD or DO or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Deliver outpatient Infectious Disease and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, advocacy, and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children's Hospital.
