University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive pediatric gastroenterology care in Peoria, IL. The APRN will assess patients, diagnose, plan and prescribe within privileges, and participate in education and clinical programs.

The APRN will manage patient care within area of expertise, coordinate with other services, order tests, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
Graduation from accredited APRN program.
Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice.
Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required.

Responsibilities

Manage the care of pediatric GI patients within privileges.
Obtain health history, perform exams, and interpret tests.
Prescribe interventions and develop treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor learners.
Develop educational plans for patients and families.
Coordinate with services for upcoming procedures and clearances.
