Job summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP), in partnership with OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology.

The APN will work with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for children with gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required
• Graduation from accredited APRN program
• Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice
• Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to children with GI and nutritional disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with pediatric GI faculty and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
• Participate in development and expansion of specialized clinical programs and innovative care models.
• Contribute to education of trainees, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical protocol development, and patient safety efforts.
• Support academic missions through committee work, program development, and clinical research.
