Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Pediatric Gastroenterology within the Department of Pediatrics.

The APRN conducts comprehensive health care for pediatric patients with GI and nutrition disorders, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and participates in education, quality improvement, and program development within a growing academic pediatric gastroenterology practice.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Graduation from an accredited APRN program.
• Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric GI and nutrition care within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate students, residents, and health professionals as needed.
• Prescribe and manage treatment plans with appropriate documentation.
• Participate in program development, quality improvement, and clinical teaching.
