The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria, in partnership with OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The APN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to children with GI and nutritional disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
Graduation from accredited APRN program.
Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice.
Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to children with gastrointestinal, nutritional, and related disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Collaborate closely with pediatric gastroenterology faculty and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize clinical outcomes.
Participate in the development and expansion of specialized clinical programs, supporting innovative models of care across the division.
Contribute to the education of trainees, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals through clinical teaching and mentorship.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocol development, and efforts to enhance patient safety, care delivery, and program effectiveness.
Support academic and institutional missions through participation in committee work, program development, and clinical research or scholarly activities.
