Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP), in partnership with OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The APN will coordinate care, educate families, and enhance outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Master’s or DNP required with Illinois RN/APN licensure; participation in teaching and quality initiatives is expected in a supportive academic environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Graduation from accredited APRN program.
• Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice.
• Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to children with GI and nutritional disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with pediatric gastroenterology faculty and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Participate in development and expansion of specialized clinical programs and innovative care models.
• Contribute to education of trainees, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals via teaching and mentorship.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical protocol development, and patient safety efforts.
• Support academic missions through committee work, program development, and possible scholarly activities.
