Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our team in the Capital Region's only academic medical center. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, academically focused environment.

Responsibilities include safe perioperative care for a wide range of pediatric patients, teaching residents and students, and participating in clinical research and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology is required.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by ABA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported.
• Collaborate with surgeons and perioperative team to optimize outcomes.
• Mentor trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
