Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology is seeking fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our team in the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

We provide perioperative care for a wide range of specialties in inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities for teaching residents and students, and involvement in clinical research and collaboration with surgeons and perioperative staff.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure and ABA recognition.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
