Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology is seeking fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists at all ranks to join six pediatric anesthesia faculty in the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

The role encompasses perioperative care for infants to adolescents, teaching residents and medical students, and opportunities in clinical research, collaboration with surgeons, and trainee mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and eligible for New York state licensure.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required).
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
