Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists to join our team of six pediatric anesthesia faculty within the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

Provide perioperative anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties, with opportunities in MRI, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization. This role includes teaching residents and students, and participating in clinical research and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required).
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
