Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology seeks fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our team of six pediatric anesthesia faculty within the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

The role includes perioperative care for diverse surgical specialties, involvement in education, research, collaboration, and mentorship, with a competitive base salary and sign-on bonus. Opportunities for call pay and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth

Education

Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship (required)

New York State medical licensure eligibility
