Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology is seeking fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our team in the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

You will provide perioperative care across pediatric specialties, teach residents and medical students, participate in clinical research, and collaborate with surgeons and perioperative staff to optimize patient outcomes in a collaborative academic environment with six dedicated pediatric anesthesia

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) and NY licensure eligibility
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA or foreign equivalent
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
