Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join our team of dedicated faculty. Practice in a collaborative, academically focused environment within the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

You will provide perioperative care for a wide range of surgical specialties and participate in teaching residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists, with opportunities for clinical research and mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required; board-eligible or board-certified by ABA consideration.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA or foreign equivalent recognized by ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in various settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative team to optimize outcomes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance for trainees and junior faculty.
