The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking an academic palliative medicine physician to join an expanding program providing inpatient care and development of an outpatient service. Protected time for teaching and research is offered.

The Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine supports a multidisciplinary team and emphasizes research, teaching, and clinical excellence. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent)
• Board certification/eligibility in Palliative Medicine
• Strong foundation in internal medicine, teaching and research or quality improvement

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care for patients
• Engage in teaching and research activities related to palliative medicine
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families
