Job summary

The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking an academic palliative medicine physician to join our expanding interdisciplinary program. The position offers flexibility to develop a clinical portfolio aligned with the candidate’s interests and expertise, including inpatient consultation, ambulatory care, and leadership of our General Inpatient hospice program.

Protected time for teaching, quality improvement, and research is available.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university or foreign equivalent.
• Board certified/eligible in Palliative Medicine.
• Strong foundation in internal medicine, teaching and research or quality improvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient palliative medicine consultation.
• Ambulatory palliative care responsibility.
• Medical leadership of the General Inpatient (GIP) hospice program.
