Job summary

The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking an academic palliative medicine physician to join our expanding interdisciplinary program.

The position offers considerable flexibility to develop a clinical portfolio aligned with the candidate’s interests and expertise, including inpatient palliative medicine consultation, ambulatory palliative care, and medical leadership of our growing General Inpatient (GIP) hospice program.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board certified in Palliative Medicine.
• Strong leadership and teaching capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient palliative medicine consultations.
• Develop ambulatory palliative care services.
• Provide medical leadership for the GIP Hospice program.
• Engage in teaching, quality improvement, and research.
