Job summary

San Diego State University’s College of Arts and Letters seeks an Instructional Resources Analyst to align faculty staffing, budgets, and admin support to advance academic programs.

The role partners with departments and campus offices to resolve appointments, analyze workload data, and improve processes. It offers hybrid work options and a path to broad expertise in higher education operations within a major public university.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of administrative experience involving analysis, interpretation, and application of policies and procedures.
• Experience in academic personnel, faculty affairs, human resources, budget administration, or related administrative area.
• Proficiency in Excel/Word to analyze and reconcile complex data.
• Experience administering or supporting faculty and academic student employee appointment processes in higher education.
• Experience with faculty workload, compensation, instructional resources, or academic personnel processes.
• Experience analyzing budgets, financial information, or resource data and developing projections.
• Experience interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements, policies, or complex administrative requirements.
• Experience using administrative information systems to manage data.
• Experience providing guidance or training on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty appointment processes to staff courses accurately and on time.
• Analyze instructional budgets, workload, compensation, appointments, and other resource data for planning.
• Coordinate employment processes for Teaching Associates, Graduate Assistants, and other student employees.
• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements and university policies for departments.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop helpful tools and guidance.
