Banner University Medical Group (BUMG) in Tucson seeks a neurosurgeon to join an expanding academic program at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general neurosurgical care and participate in education of residents, fellows, and medical students in a collaborative environment.

The practice blends outpatient clinic and operative work with roughly two clinic days and two OR days per week.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited Neurosurgery residency program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and academic medicine.
• Interest in working collaboratively within a growing multidisciplinary program.
• New graduates and graduating fellows are encouraged to apply.
• Experienced neurosurgeons are also welcome.
• An academic appointment will accompany the position; prior academic or leadership experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general neurosurgical care.
• Participate in education of residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Balance outpatient clinic and operative care (~2 clinic days and 2 OR days per week).
• Teach and mentor trainees across clinical and academic settings.
• Collaborate with Neurology, Anesthesiology/Perioperative Services, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to academic missions and clinical trials.

Education
