Banner University Medical Group (BUMG), in partnership with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson , is seeking a Neurosurgeon to join our growing academic program at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson (BUMC-T).This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding department led by Julie Pilitsis, MD, PhD, MBA, and contribute to the continued growth of neurosurgical services in Southern Arizona. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general neurosurgical care while participating in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students in a collaborative academic environment. The practice offers a balance of outpatient clinic and operative care, with an average schedule of approximately two clinic days and two OR days per week. Physicians see approximately 10-12 patients per clinic day and treat a broad range of general neurosurgical conditions.
As a physician with Banner University Medical Group - Tucson, the successful candidate will incorporate approximately 10% academic time into their FTE. Responsibilities include teaching residents and fellows in clinical and academic settings and participating in medical student rotations. Candidates interested in clinical research and trials are encouraged to participate in the departments academic mission.
Clinical practice is based at 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson, Arizona, with operative cases performed at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson.
