Job summary

The University of Oklahoma Information Technology department seeks an IT System Support Administrator to serve as a dedicated technical resource embedded within the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. This role supports instruction, media production, research, and daily operations across a technology-intensive academic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting instructional computing labs, classroom technology, or academic technology environments in higher education.
• Experience administering endpoint management platforms (MECM, Intune, JAMF) and enterprise Windows/macOS deployments.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS devices in enterprise environments.
• Experience administering file storage, Active Directory/Entra ID, and access permissions.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or media-focused software in journalism/production contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional computing environments, labs, and classroom technology in a higher education setting.
• Provide endpoint management and software deployments across Windows and macOS devices.
• Assist with storage systems, identity and access administration, and file permissions.
• Support specialized instructional, creative, or production software in journalism and media contexts.
