Hiring Specifications

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and provide strategic supplemental academic instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Identify students in need of supplemental interventions to support core instruction.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for individual and small groups of students.
  • Plan and teach interventions based on the learning needs of students using high quality materials based in research.
  • Monitor student learning daily using multiple data points to guide group and individualized instruction.
  • Ensure intervention sequence aligns with classroom instruction and building MTSS.
  • Document interventions in Panorama Students success and record monitoring data there.
  • Participate in professional learning communities, literacy and math training for staff, and ongoing professional development opportunities for Interventionists.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of building professional development.
  • Communicate with families on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrate consistent progress on meeting the eight Iowa Teaching Standards.

  • Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees.
  • Assist with other duties as may be assigned.
