Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an ASC Teacher to deliver targeted academic interventions in a structured MTSS environment. You will provide small-group and individualized instruction, re-teach essential standards with differentiated strategies, and monitor progress with curriculum-based assessments.

You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, social workers, and special education staff to remove barriers and support credit recovery and on-time graduation goals.

Qualifications

• Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• Experience with at-risk or alternative education students preferred.
• Experience with intervention programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted academic instruction for students with deficiencies.
• Deliver small-group and individualized instruction aligned to student learning needs.
• Re-teach essential standards using differentiated instructional strategies.
• Assist students in mastering missing prerequisite skills.
• Monitor student academic progress using curriculum-based assessments.
• Credit Recovery Support and MTSS coordination.
• Communicate academic deficiencies with classroom teachers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, intervention services, and student goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, administration, social workers, and special education staff.
