Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, reports, or documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from staff or community.
• Ability to support student academic progress.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Knowledge of current research and theory in the field.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff and community.
• Clear oral and written communication.
• Professional conduct in all actions.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with at-risk students, families, and school staff.
• Develop and implement individual academic and behavioral plans.
• Recommend interventions to improve academic performance.
• Meet regularly with at-risk students to monitor progress.
• Assist students with organization and study skills.
• Communicate empathetically and effectively with students.
• Plan, organize, and maintain strong work habits.
• Attend conferences and participate in professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
