Job summary

National Heritage Academies (NHA) seeks an Academic Intervention Coach for Metro Charter Academy in Romulus, MI. This role designs and implements systematic intervention, develops staff, and manages grant-funded programs to raise student achievement and ensure high-quality learning each day.

The position emphasizes building a collaborative intervention team, analyzing progress data, and coaching teachers in intervention tools while aligning with school frameworks and NHA procedures.

Qualifications

• School Administrator Licensure in states where required.
• College diploma (BA or equivalent) or higher in Education or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in teaching and prior school leadership experience as an Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, interim dean, content leader, or mentor.
• A valid administrator license (if required for the state in which you are applying).
• Experience working with at-risk students.
• Experience coordinating Title 1/RTI Programs.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to see complex projects through from start to finish.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the school’s systematic intervention program around the 6 Key Practices of Systematic.
• Intervention in the Schoolwide Framework to drive continuous student growth.
• Develop an effective intervention team including teachers, paraprofessionals, at-risk staff, academic specialists, and school leadership through ongoing, differentiated support and PD.
• Work with intervention services consultants and principal to ensure funding decisions are strategic and compliance tasks are completed.
• Analyze progress monitoring data regularly and evaluate system effectiveness.
• Teach, model, and coach others to effectively administer intervention tools.
• Develop, support, and maintain a safe, engaging culture focused on student learning.
• Master and model all aspects of the Classroom Framework of Instructional Practice.
• Build relationships with and among teachers and invest in professional success of staff.
• Routinely analyze student, class, and wing data to drive instruction and growth.
• Promote, model, and reinforce all NHA procedures.
• Manage parent relationships.
• Lead wing PLC meetings using data and standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.
