Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Academic Instructor to inspire and mentor students in the Job Corps program. You will deliver high-quality instruction to help students earn their High School Diploma or GED, while building literacy and numeracy skills in a supportive class environment.

You will design individualized achievement plans, manage student progress, and work with Career Technical Training instructors to integrate academics with hands-on training for real-world relevance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required (Master's degree preferred).
• A valid State Teaching Certificate or an approved teaching waiver is required.
• Prior teaching experience and/or familiarity with the Job Corps ecosystem is highly preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills, clear professional communication, collaboration, and a solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality academic instruction that helps students earn their High School Diploma (HSD) or GED.
• Create customized achievement plans and provide student case management to ensure progress and graduation.
• Collaborate with Career Technical Training instructors to blend academic learning with hands-on technical curricula.
• Maintain a positive, organized, inclusive learning environment and uphold professional dress codes.
• Keep accurate records and ensure compliance with company standards and DOL performance goals.
