Job summary

The University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking an Academic HR Manager to lead faculty lifecycle processes, from recruitment through separation, in alignment with campus and institutional policies.

In this role, you will transact on academic HR actions in Workday, perform quality reviews of packets, and collaborate with Institutional Partners to ensure compliance, consistency, and timely communications across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or related field with at least three years of experience in administrative roles or in university/academic healthcare settings.
• Experience in university or academic healthcare organization with increasing responsibility.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee faculty lifecycle processes from recruitment through separation, ensuring alignment with policies and timelines.
• Transact on academic personnel HR actions in Workday following payroll and campus timelines.
• Conduct quality reviews of appointment packets and promotion files.
• Manage onboarding for new faculty, including credentialing, compliance tracking, and communications.
• Process faculty compensation actions and ensure policy compliance across systems.
• Collaborate with UW partners and institutional teams on academic affairs and trainings.
• Develop and maintain workflow documentation for lifecycle processes.
