Job summary

Candidates should have an MD/DO, hand surgery fellowship, and CA licensure eligibility, with eligibility for Clinical X or HSCP series and extramural funding experience expected.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency (or equivalent).
• Fellowship training in Hand Surgery.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in California.
• C candidates in Clinical X series must show scholarly/clinical/translational research and evidence of extramural funding.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hand and upper extremity care and participate in hand trauma call.
• Develop an elective surgical hand/upper extremity practice within the CHS program.
• Teach residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Engage in departmental conferences, university service, and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to clinical, educational, and scholarly missions.
