Albany Medical College’s Division of Cardiology seeks a full-time Electrophysiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our expanding academic faculty in Albany, NY. The role spans outpatient EP clinics, inpatient consultations, ablations, and device implantations in a collaborative, teaching-focused environment.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrofisiology.
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor.
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued.
• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Passion for providing high-quality care to patients and advancing the field of cardiology.
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is highly desirable.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers.
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
• Ablation procedures and device implantations
• Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers
