Job summary

Albany Medical College's Division of Cardiology seeks an Electrophysiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our academic faculty. The role covers full-spectrum EP in a collaborative setting.

The successful candidate will contribute to outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, ablations and device implants, while collaborating across heart failure, interventional cardiology, and imaging. NY licensure and academic eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities for an academic appointment.
• Leadership qualities and collaborative, multidisciplinary patient care.
• Strong communication skills and passion for advancing cardiology research and care.
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy desirable.
• Ability to teach, mentor and collaborate with students, residents and fellows.
• Eligible for academic appointment and New York medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach.
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations.
• Ablation procedures and device implantations.
• Collaborate with faculty across cardiology and related specialties.
• Support education and development of fellows and residents.
